The web portion of our products is what the audience normally will see. It may be a complete solution with front page, news, forums, search engine and booking capabilities (and even more) or it may just be one of these modules, typically the search and booking modules.
TravelComponents.Web
TravelComponents is our standard Internet Booking Engine (IBE). Our IBE is based on modules, so it is easy to adapt it into different travel agencies. Since it is module based, it is easy to change the flow and the layout on the IBE. It is easy to integrate these modules on Content management systems build on Microsoft.net platform. We can deliver a package of standard modules or build specialized modules that will fit your needs.
Search Controls
Our user interface for searching makes it easier to select which destination and dates you are going to search to. We also store the data the customer is searching for in cookies, so he/she doesn’t have to enter the same data multiple times when using the Internet booking engine.
Flight
Our flight booking engine retrieves fares and prices from the GDS and from various low cost carriers. You are able to search and display mixed results from GDS and Low cost carriers in one operation. We can search and display one way fares, return fares, open jaws and stop overs. It is possible to integrate to other fares systems on request.
Hotel
We are have integrated to different hotel providers that allows us to retrieve hotel inventory from different vendors. Our booking engine allows you to book multiple rooms and multiple room types in one booking. This makes it easier when creating packages.
Car Rental
Our car booking engine allows you to book rental cars with different pick-up and drop-off locations and offices. We also display pictures of the car type and recommended number of passengers and luggage for the car type.
Dynamic Packaging
Our solution can create dynamic packages from flight + hotel, flight + car. This allows you to deliver packages to the customer without pre-defining the package themselves.
Insurance and Automated Products
We allow you to add on automated products that are related to what your customer books. We can add on insurance products, fees, discounts etc. to the booking in the booking process. You may set up if the product is mandatory or if the customer can select/deselect the automated products.
Mark-up
Our mark up module has a set of rules for marking up your fares correctly. You may differentiate mark-ups on different products and periods. It also has a model for easy overriding of mark-up-rules on specific dates and products. This gives you better yield control. The mark-up is controlled through TravelComponents Dashboard.
Search Optimizing
Our search optimizing module allows you to create search rules to get better prices and availability from the GDS. This module is very useful for long haul flights and if you are a destination specialist that will improve the quality of the flight availability and flight prices.
Muliti Language and Currency
Our modules will fit any currency and language. It is also very easy to translate to any language.
Payment
The IBE is connected to credit card companies and banks through our payment providers. This allows you to withdraw the customer’s credit cards or bank accounts directly in the booking process.
Error Handling
By experience from high volume internet booking engines, we know that some errors will occur in the communication with other data systems. Systems are also changing on a regular basis to fulfil new demands in the market. We have systems that monitor and reports errors and irregularities to us. We then have routines and systems that allow us to patch up the software with fixes easily.
Integration to own Inventory Systems
It is possible to integrate your own inventory into search results from other content providers. This is custom functionality that will be tailor made just for your company.
